In Persona Q2, no protagonist is required inside the party, and the Game Over is triggered when the whole party is knocked out instead. If either are knocked out in their respective Routes, the game is over. In Persona Q, the P3 hero is required in the party during the P3 Route, and the P4 hero is required in the P4 Route. If the protagonist maxes her Confidant, he may swap party members during anyone's turn. While it is usually impossible to swap out party members, in Persona 5, the protagonist may use up his turn to swap out one party member with another as a bonus of Hifumi Togo's Confidant. If this Wild Card bearer is knocked out, the game is over.
